We’d like to thank “The Cafe at Large” for providing great lunches and tapas this summer at the Winery. It was a
very popular venue to enjoy some creative offerings by Amanda the chef from The Cafe at Hope Bay while
enjoying some wine in our licensed picnic area.
We look forward to The Cafe at Large joining us again next summer.

We’d also like to thank the vendors of the Wednesday Winery Market that provided fresh produce, baked

Pender Island

Pender Island is a jewel in the Southern Gulf Islands surrounded by the Salish Sea, home to Sea Star Vineyards. Our seaside vineyard cascades all the way down to the beach, while our upper vineyard terraces up to Mount Menzies part of the Gulf Islands National Park Reserve.

Our grapes are complemented by another Pender Island vineyard, Clam Bay Farms ensuring our wines are authentically made from locally grown grapes, bestowing their unique nature to the wine .

Unique and Memorable Events

As a stunning Event location, the dramatic Winery building designed by Walter Francl is a great venue, as is the adjacent garden patio and spacious lawn. Various picturesque viewpoints on the property have hosted musical events such as the Pender Island Jazz
Concert, as well as plays, and several community fundraisers.

Inspired by Nature

We welcome our guests to beautiful Pender Island and our new Winery opened in April 2014. We are the only vineyard in British Columbia to reach all the way to the shoreline, an area famous for its colourful sea star population. Our setting naturally led us to name the vineyard “Sea Star” . To further recognize the unique nature of our location, our wine labels feature a series of artist-rendered native Sea Stars.
